Relationship Counselling in Bangor for people of all ages attending alone or together. I work with people from different religions, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds and LGBTQIA+

Finding the right resolution for both of you

When you make the decision to come to relationship counselling, it is often because of a crisis in the relationship or a breakdown in communication which you feel cannot be resolved without some help. The counselling may help you to change and mend the relationship, learn to live with it's limitations or to bring the relationship to an end. The assessment session is an opportunity to talk about your difficulties and to think about all your options.

Rebuilding your relationship

When you want to take steps to stay together, I will help you to consider the changes each of you need to make to improve the quality of your relationship. You can work on your communication, how you rebuild trust and manage conflict and on your sexual relationship. You will usually attend weekly or for some couples fortnightly may be more affordable. Going forward, follow up sessions can ensure that a positive change is being maintained comfortably over time.

Are you going through a separation?

If one or both of you are considering leaving your relationship, you may wish to attend separation counselling.
My role is not to tell either of you what to do in these circumstances, but to help you both consider all your options and to make the best decisions possible. This is particularly important when you have children who will be affected by your separation. With separation counselling, I can help you to maintain a healthy parental relationship, while ending things on a positive note.
